Lady's 1850s Silk Floral Brocade Bodice
Deaccessioned from the Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York. Beautiful brown and gray silk brocade bodice with brown partial lining. The original boning and hook and eye closure is at the center front. Nice details like armscye and neckline piping. Soft silk fringe around pagoda sleeves, center front closures and waistline.
Measurements:
Bust 31 inches, Waist 22 inches, Torso: 15 inches (shoulder to the waist line), Shoulder to shoulder: 16 1/2 inches

Lady's Civil War Era Silk Floral Jacket, c. 1860
This is a lady’s original Civil War era jacket, c. 1860. This item was deaccessioned from the Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York and has the museum's acquisiton number tag sewn inside of jacket’s neckline. Beautiful black and green silk with floral pattern. There is soft, silk, looped fringe around pagoda sleeves.

Bust 28 inches, Waist 22 inches, Shoulder to shoulder: 17 inches, Length: 23 inches (shoulder to the bottom of the bodice)

Museum deaccession from Fashion Group International, Florida and has the museum's acquisiton number tag and donor identification. Wonderful Civil War era cream silk faille evening gown, 1860’s. Two piece, bodice with lace up closure on center back, off-shoulder evening neckline trimmed with silk net bertha, cap sleeve with pleated overlay, neckline and sleeve with ruffles, netting and velvet ribbons. Full skirt with small train.

Museum deaccession from Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York and has the original tags with museum's acquisition numbers and date. Wonderful pre Civil War era silk maternity dress. Brown and white gingham with replaced faux wood buttons. One piece dress. Hidden pocket and drawstring waist.

Emerald Green Silk Afternoon Gown with Jacket, 1860's
Museum deaccession from Fashion Group International, Florida and has the museum's acquisition number tag and donor identification. Green silk one-piece dress with train and boned bodice. The trimming on bodice and skirt is made with straight geometric strips of black velvet. Bodice has velvet covered black buttons. Skirt has a hidden pocket. The matching original jacket survived with the dress. Buttons on the jacket have been replaced. This gown is fully lined in brown cotton. The hem is stiffened with wide woven horsehair band. Measurements:
Bust: 35 inches, Waist: 27 ½ inches, Shoulder to shoulder: 15 ½ inches, Length: 14 ½” (shoulder to waist)

Museum deaccession from the Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York. Ladies' wool skirt with sheer gauze brocade flounce. The sheerness of the flounce contrasts beautifully with the detail of the brocade over the grass green skirt. The colors are: green, white, black, yellow and pink. The hook and eye closure is missing. This skirt has a green lining.

Plaid wool day dress trimmed in green soutache, with green buttons at center front. An excellent example of the stylishness of plaid during the mid-19th century. Bodice fully boned.
